Monthly Theme Day: City Exchange - Platja d'Aro, Spain

It could almost be Monte Carlo although the beach doesn't look right, does it? In fact it's a beach in Spain near to Girona. I thought you might like to see a bunch of Old English Sheepdogs in a City not my own. 150 dogs had gathered for the Euro-OES-Show from 21 different countries. The show is held in a different European country each year. Here you see the Danish contingent, posing on the beach just before getting onto their coach for the long journey back to Copenhagen.
Woof woof to you all!

  4. Spain to Denmark in a coach full of Old English Sheepdogs.

Don't think I'd fancy that journey but love the picture of the dogs on the beach.

  6. Love those dogs! Do you think that there's anything to the idea that dogs physically resemble their owners.

  7. Great! I hope the weather was not too hot, this kind of dogs must fear it...

  8. Like Gerald, I'm thinking about how those large wooly things were transported. Must have been an interesting exercise.

  14. Have you ever seen one of these sheepdogs shorn because of a skin infection? Sad, sad sight! I much prefer them furry! Happy Theme Day!

  15. Kate - I owned an Old English and I must admit, we did look alike ;-)

Jilly, that lazy one (I bet it's a male ;-) the 5th from the right, has a lot of dark markings. Did he place at all?

  16. Isabella, yes I bet it's a male too. I don't know/remember if he placed or not but dogs with head markings can and do become champions - as they should!

And Kate, yes, my number (?) husband looked like an Old English Sheepdog!

    Now that's a fun shot!

Jilly, thanks for your comment on Sydney Daily Snap about the sense of belonging. I think you're spot on when you say that home is where we are.

Etre bien dans sa peau, voila l'important!!!
    Take care.

  20. That is an absolutely stunning photo. It reminds me of a family reunion or a wedding photo when everyone kinda line up to get a group shot.
