This statue called Servi Muti (Silent Servants) stands just outside the Princess Grace Rose Garden in Fontvieille. It's by the Italian artist, Roberto Barni.
Ming, they appear to be carrying a plank - and yes, Ann I think they are indeed blindfolded.
And Kate, thankyou. I didn't know Segil. Looked him up and find he is Segal (you weren't sure) and yes, the work is so similar-very interesting work too.
Reminds me of Segil's (sp?) people sculptures.
ReplyDeleteWe want to help us : it's so heavy no ?
ReplyDeleteI like it.
What is that he's carrying?
ReplyDeleteNice shot.
That Rose Garden looks like a very interesting place. :)
ReplyDeleteAre the silent servants blindfolded?
