The entrance to the small harbour of Fontvieille. You can see another photograph of this harbour, posted a couple of days ago - HERE. The rocks on the left are part of Le Rocher, the oldest part of Monaco where you'll find the Palace, the Cathedral, the Oceanographic Museum and beautiful old streets.
Oh, that water looks just so impossibly blue and sparkly! Very inviting.
ReplyDeleteIs that what's called Mediterranean blue?
ReplyDeleteoh my its manificent. i wonder when can i set foot to monte carlo.
ReplyDeleteIsabella, it's so blue, isn't it? But yes, that's how it is. Only thing I would say is that if I take pics around midday there is a hardness to the colour - as in this photo. I didn't change any colour tho - in fact I tried to lighten it just a little.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a view!
ReplyDeleteWhat is that little fort like building in the centre ?
Ann
ReplyDeleteThe building in the centre is the Capitanerie, which is where the yacht owners go to arrange their berthing. Thanks to my friend Laura - a mine of information on Monaco - for telling me this.
