Aurora

Meet Aurora. How beautiful a name is that! Aurora is a professional dog handler from Padua in Italy - visiting the Principality for the Monaco Dog Show. She is such a dog enthusiast and when she realised I was interested in photographing rare breeds for Riviera Dogs she kept bringing more and more unusual dogs into an empty ring for me. 'I bet you don't know this one,' she'd say. And I didn't. She also introduced me to the dogs' proud owners.

Here you see her after the show, waiting for her transportation in Fontvieille with two Pugs, a French bulldog, a Griffon Bruxellois (front left) and a Petit Brabancon (front right). For a bigger and different version of the dogs, please click on the link above.

Aurora is the best sort of dog handler, enthusiastic, loves the dogs yet handles them in a calm and professional manner. Hardly surprising as she's won an enormous amount of Junior Handling Awards. She also speaks perfect English. Click on her name to see her website.

Oh, Jilly, that's such a GREAT photo. And almost all of those snub-nosed dogs from the Brussels Griffon to the Pug have faces like Bibi (Sorry folks, Bibi in the photo on my blog is NOT the blogger!), especially the Griffon.

Love it!

Nice post, Jilly. I like the way this lady handles dogs and went to her site and even enjoyed the music there which is something I almost always dislike on blogs. But it fit her site perfectly.

Almost all of the dogs I have owned over th epast 73 years have been mixed and most were perfect for me.

Nice post. All those dogs look well behaved unlike my own dear dog that would have been tangled in his own and all the other dog leads

what a motley group of critters! They are all grumpy looking, lol.

I love animals. They're always interesting to photograph, aren't they?

I did, as Monsieur le Président did, and thoroughly enjoyed her Blogsite.
She is obviously highly talented, and competent at her art.
I used to show our Welsh Corgis, (Cardigans), and I know how stressful it was.
Today, I live in a house of cats, but that's a yarn for another day.
Great shot, Jilly !

Great post. You should have joined Camera Critters for today. Anyway, I like your post. That front row dog looks out of place. All the other ones look similar in the breed.

Jilly, Isn't blogging wonderful!? I often wonder if we would initiate and talk to the people we do if it weren't for our photography. This woman certainly was accommodating, and you captured her personality quite well!

Lovely post, Jilly. Aurora handles these dogs well. I am sure Aurora could teach our little Winston some etiquette. ;)

Ms. Aurora seems very competent -the dogs can sense it.
Griffon Bruxellois is known for human-like expressions, and the one in your photo proves it well...

Aurora is a delighful name. She has my other dream job, full time dog walker. Unfortunately not enough dogs here for me to take "walkies." Just a wonderful photo.

Manx cats, do indeed originate from the island.

Sparrows sadly, are on the decline in the UK. Still a high number, but the last R.S.B.P Garden Birdwatch (I took part in) reported a lower birthrate than previous years.

Oh she is as adorable as her name, Jilly.

Her shoes, paired with that suit, made me smile :-D
I wish my heels looked as comfortable as those shoes!

I'm off to Riviera Dogs to oooh and awww over those lovely dogs.

Fantastic post, Jilly. I love those small breeds - had a pug and a yorky once. Both fantastic dogs.

I ask for beautiful women, and already I've seen two!! Thank you.
