Crumbs, Fancy going to the beach to stare at 10,000 umbrellas. You may never see the sea. Like at the football when it's raining. Umbrellas are the curse of society. Apart from that, this beach, (plage, in French, M. Lincoln), is magnificent. Just needs some Aussie waves. But, "When in Rome". I'm just jealous that you have it and we don't. But not for long !
Hilda, This is a private beach, meaning you have to pay to use the chairs so it doesn't get that crowded.
You often have private beaches in France and in Monaco. I don't know what it costs to sit on this particular beach but in Menton, around 8 euros per day I believe.
Is that Miami PlaGe? I thought maybe they mis spelled it.
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice photo Jilly. And so peaceful in appearance and quite different from your jaunts up and down the surrounding mountains.

ReplyDeleteToo bad some of the umbrellas aren't more colorful, but you did catch it pretty lonely looking.

ReplyDeleteYes I love beaches early morning when they are deserted.
