Remember the jeans-clad lady the other day - well here's another. This time in cut-offs and standing just along from the entrance to the Café de Paris and somewhat smarter than the people behind her in flipflops and trainers.
What would you wear if you visited Monaco? And if you are a visitor - what DO you wear in Monte Carlo?

As little as possible!
I'm kidding...
I'd probably wear something similar because both women were wearing clothing that looks like what a lot of us tend to live in here in Southern California. Dressed up here often means putting heels and a nicer top with a pair of jeans.
I love your street shots so much, Jilly.
Chaaaanel, bien sûr! ;-)
I love Laurie and Alice's comments. I would just try and look as chic as somebody from Alabama could look in Monte Carlo! What do you wear in MC? I would say no flip flops, teeshirts and too casual. Hey what do I know?? All I know is what you've taught me Jilly!
My swimming cossie of course! ;-)
A topless bikini...of course, that would have been about 40 years ago!! Now, hmmm..something sporty and age appropriate...damn!!
I think the last time I was in Monte Carlo was about 2 years ago. My husband took me to Nice for my birthday and we rented a car and drove up and down the coast. I don't think I wore anything particular, but it was October so no shorts or flip-flops.
totally depending on the occasion and weather. But i am afra i would be wearing flip flops too.
Ugg ones, but still.
I never understood wearing shower shoes, (flip flops) in public. Hideous foot apparel in my humble opinion. Trainer shoes, or sneakers, tennis shoes, etc. should be worn in the gym, or on the sports court. In Paris, I felt out of place wearing khaki pants. Blue jeans were the norm, so I really do not know what is fashionable these days.
I would have to wear my Mephisto Mary Jane-style sport shoes for trekking around. They save my feet and knees, which is exactly why I never wear flip-flops. I almost never wear high heels either, but I have some newish platform sandals I could wear too. The cut of my jeans is very boyish, but I also like flowy wide leg rayon palazzo pants. I think they have come in and out of style a couple of times, so I'm sure I'd look like an old fuddy duddy no matter what I wore. I yam what I yam.
I visited just last week and wore cut-offs and mules ... alas, my legs could not compete with the lady in the photo! Ah well, there's always next year, if the diet holds out.
I'm afraid I'd look very unstylish. Lovely photo, Jilly.
Well, as steep as Monte Carlo appears to be from your photos, I definitely would NOT wear heels like this. I'd bring my New Balance hiking shoes!
Tanned legs!
if I looked like her, anything I wanted
