The posties there must either empty that box many times a day, or Monte Carloians (if that's the right word)don't post many letters. It looks more like one of those boxes you stub cigarettes out on, than for posting letters.
A red letter day! LOL. This expression goes back to the Middle Ages and refers to something of significance being scribed in RED LETTERING or rubrica. I guess paying one's bills would fit into this category. Of course, I always see red when I have to pay those bills. Good weekend!
