Well done to her that she knows how to self time the camera and have the guts to go for this shot. It's so sad to note that in the UK this would be misconstrewed as vanity rather than a keepsake. Nicely observed capture.
I wish I knew how to use the timer on MY camera! A bit sad, though, to be on your own. You meet more people when you travel alone but it's great to be able to share impressions with friends/partner.

You know, my first thought was "maybe that's Jilly giving us a demonstration"! But then, logic kicked in. Damned logic.
Elaine and I are thinking alike! I expected you, too, Jilly!
LOL cute photo!
Jilly,
When do we see your photo of you?
My brows knit together at first because I remember seeing your photos in the Pension Milou website. Then I saw the camera on the ledge! LOL!
She reminds me of the young ones here in Metro Manila — though ours tend to have camera phones rather than camera-only cameras.

Waiting to see how you look like !!
My husband and I are very familiar with the "timer" feature on the camera. :)
I guess I'll have to experiment some more. Usually I cut off heads; I DO need to get a tripod. Wonderful capture.
