Eze Village - Wander and wonder

The way to see Eze is to wander the little streets - don't follow the tourists on their way directly to the gardens at the top (although we will go there) - take any little turning - you'll find pretty squares, tumbling plants, stone houses. You can't get lost - Eze village is too small for that.

Oh, I'm excited to get to see the gardens! This shot is so cozy and delightful. It really makes me want to wander more and see what is a few steps beyond.

Eze is indeed a special place. Quaint walkways, charming architecture, captivating browsing opportunities in artists' shops and galleries, beautiful gardens at the top, unrivaled views views of the Riviera, and elegant (and expensive) dining at the Chateau Eze or Chateau d' Chevre d' Or, but the views, food and experience are worth it. Thank you for sharing this side trip from Monaco, and for bringing back delightful memories.

Ah the cactus! I was right. The walls of these homes are so wonderful. I would love to just rub my hands over them. Please don't make us go home just yet!

Omg, I love the houses, Jilly! Uh, how many times have I said that I love stone? Will you be peeking into any of those doors?

This is a gorgeous photo. I'm with you on the wandering. That is my favorite thing to do when I travel. I'm so lucky that over the past 10 years, I've found some great traveling companions who enjoy doing the same thing. I'm all about seeing things that most tourists don't see.

This is so neat - there just aren't any towns like this here in the States. Thanks for showing us around, Jilly. I'm looking forward to more photos in the coming days...

Love the scenery here. It has that little secret alley feel to it.
