Kermesse Oecuménique - the Tea Ladies and Gentleman
Meet a great group - the Tea and Coffee Ladies and Gentleman - oh, plus one child. You can see they are getting ready to have a fun day. They could be at a village fete in England, couldn't they? Not inside the circus tent in Monte Carlo. There's something so 'British' about a biscuit tin, not to mention the teapots.
Everyone who works at the Kermesse is run off their feet. I bet this group didn't look as bright as this at the end of the day as they do here. I believe all in this photograph are British. Yesterday's Garden Ladies were a mix of French and Scandinavian.

I like their expressions - especially the little girl!
I bet they looked different at the end of the day though. But let's hope they still managed to smile.
ahh!!! tea time favorite part of the day. whaaats a circus without tea time?? My favorite are british tea buscuits. Had a place here that had wonderful tea busicuits but the closed down. However, nothing beats tea time in England or wherever one happens to be! That will be one delighted child when the circus starts!! don't you suppose???!! is that shirt the Gentlemen is wearing a red-cross shirt?? is this too sponsored by the red cross??? does anyone know?
What a cheerful looking group of people. I too like the fact of using real cups instead of styrofoam; it just tastes better.
Hi Anonymous, that's not the red cross. It's the English Flag. :-)
