Grimaldi Forum - a View

Yesterday we saw the Gemballa cars outside the Grimaldi Forum. We have walked a few steps on - the sloping walls of the building are on our left and we see a decorative pool reflecting some palms and beyond you see the peninsula of Cap Martin reaching out to sea.

See those tall palms on the left. They stand in front of a restaurant/bar. Click on the link to see a pic I took about 18 months ago, whilst the wonderful Grace Kelly Exhibition was on.

  1. Ooooh, this is a very Hollywood shot! I can feel the wheeling and dealing going on all the way over here!

  2. Jilly,
Your comment yesterday about the young family with the setter driving a family-sized Porsche and enjoying money made from IT prompts a couple of thoughts. Young people who have achieved financial success early in their lives due to their knowledge of IT, their business sense, and their entrepreneurial drive are great. My son in Argentina is one of those.

I do not have the image of Monte Carlo as a place populated by IT or dot-com business people, although I have been there only once, and that was in 2002, so I may be out of touch with reality.

Monte Carlo reminds me of one of the captions in a coffee-table book that I have about Santa Barbara, California, a very affluent beach town. The caption reads: "In Santa Barbara, being an heir is a common and respectable profession."

  4. This is very vector art and graphic design. Really clean imagelines and reflection. Very elegant, like this a lot.
