The Cellars of the Hôtel de Paris - Champagne

Each year 250,000 bottles of champagne are sold in the Hôtel de Paris and other SBM hotels and restaurants in Monaco. Here you'll find 150 different champagnes, including the prestigious Dom Pérignon, Cristal Roederer, Clos du Mesnil.

'Come quickly, I am tasting stars!'

- Dom Perignon, at the moment of his discovery of champagne.

  5. Clos du Mesnil:
A very small parcel belonging to the House Of Krug, this wine is a bit different from most Champagne.
It is one of the rare Champagne (if not the only one), where the grapes are coming from one single type of grapes, the chardonnay, and from one single parcel: Clos du Mesnil(around 1.9 hectares), located in Mesnil sur Ogé and enclose by a stone wall since 1698...
I had the chance to try the Clos du Mesnil a few years ago, and believe me, it was a wonderfull Champagne, like the rest of the Krug's Champagne...
