Glass - dusty discoloured vintage champagne bottles displayed in the famous cellar of the Hôtel de Paris in Monte Carlo.The main photo was taken without flash in these dimly lit cellars. I hope you like the graininess, giving the atmosphere of how it was to wander these famous cellars.
For those of you continuing this tour, today is Theme Day in the City Daily Photo community and today's theme is 'glass' - the reason why I'm referring to glass as opposed to what's in the bottle! These beautiful old bottles of champagne, as is obvious, are not for sale and are doubtless undrinkable too - but goodness, aren't they beautiful to look at... (Notice the grill at the side of the display cabinet allowing air to circulate)

You fooled me. In the portal I assumed they were stone. It hadn't occured to me it was dust on glass. Doh!

When I saw this on the portal I thought it was cut-off fingers of an old rubber glove. Looking more closely, I see it's something quite valuable. Makes me think that another subject for this theme day could be Roederer Cristal Champagne.

Aha! There is dust in Monaco! Your previous photos showed such a spotless cellar that I was beginning to wonder where were the dust and the spider webs.....

These are beautiful and not easy to do without a flash. I like how the dust on the bottles in the 2nd photo has started to match the wall behind.
