Last weekend, four fabulous blogger/photographers came to stay in Menton: Richard from Zurich, Nathalie from Avignon, Chuckeroon from Richmond-upon-Thames and Peter from Paris. To see them climbing Roquebrune's famous 2000 year old olive tree, please click on the link.
From today on Monte Carlo Daily Photo and from tomorrow on Menton Daily Photo - and for the next couple of weeks - you'll be able to see photographs of Monte Carlo and Menton through the eyes of these talented photographers.
Today, we see Nathalie's photograph of the Casino - a reflection in Sky Mirror, by the British (Mumbai-born) artist, Anish Kapoor.
Fabrizio from Turin was to have been here too but sadly, at the last minute, he couldn't make it. We missed you, Fabrizio and do hope you can make it on another occasion.

this is excellent. what a fun weekend all of you had doing photo shoots and enjoying life. I look forward to seeing more. Thanks for your comments about the cactus flowers. I am doing a series of nightscapes during the next week.
No doubt I was drunk when I took that photo! It must be all the champagne we had at the Hotel de Paris. Sheer luxury! Thank you so much Jilly!
Marvellous to see what a good photographer can do, even after a few glasses of champagne! :-)
It is refreshing how different photographers can see different things in the same place. My wife and I will often wander about at the same location, and when done compare photos. She will have captured different things entirely.
Notice, I said "different" not better. That becomes a subject of discussion.
Sometimes people at our house will ask who took a particular photo on the wall, and I usually answer, "If there is a person in the photo, Julie did."
I love this photo!! Great job Nathalie!
Nathalie, I took one look and knew champagne was involved! HA It's a wonderful shot nevertheless. Bravo.
As Babooshka always says, " If I can shoot it drunk, you can shoot it sober!"

Beautiful! I love it.
A nice combination of the works of two artists I like : Anish Kapoor and Nathalie!!!
Would have been good to met everyone. Maybe next time. We have a Sky Mirror in Nottingham, outside the Playhouse. Alas the buildings around it aren't as grand as the casino.
Gail's Man, I remember your talking about the Sky Mirror in Nottingham. Let's hope we have a get together in MC soon.
But we know Nathalie has never been drunk... Great idea, great shot!
It looks Daliesque. Great shot.
