Tour de France - 'Super Eagles' - Lance Armstrong
One or two of the eagle sculptures featured in the gardens of Monaco relate to the Tour de France. This one is constructed using one of Lance Armstrong's bikes. The artist is Martin Caminiti. In the background, you see the doorman of the Metropole Hotel.

Monaco must be used to the pre-race build-up, although usually for 4-wheeled rather than 2-wheeled races.
Thank you for your wonderful post yesterday and especially for your activism and leadership in the City Daily Photo bloggers' commemoration of the situation facing Amir and others in Iran.
I love yesterday's and today's art pieces. This is so much fun! I guess you'll have much to post about with the tour de France starting in Monaco.
I really like the idea of developing art around bikes. Very creative and fun!
The cycling angel of a few days ago was wonderful too. I'm really enjoying this art exhibition!
Neat, although I think Lance should have stayed in retirement. He's just playing with fire getting back into the Tour de France.
At first I thought this was a "ghost bike," a tribute to a cyclist killed in traffic while riding his/her bike. Much better to see that it's a tribute to Lance Armstrong, one of "our boys!" Love the Tour de France and was in Paris 3 different times when it ended.
Very nice of you to share a unique piece of art. This pic reminds me of going down a hill with the wind in your face and rushing past your ears.
