A cruise ship in the bay of Villefranche dwarfs the coastline. Villefranche-sur-Mer is just along the coast from Monaco and not far from Nice. I was in a small boat so it was easy to get up close and personal.

Would have been even more impressive had you told us that this was a private yacht but sure that's BIG - as SOOOO Monte Carlo !
ReplyDeleteWell done Jilly - and what fun it must have been being in that small boat. I'm sure we'll see other shots taken from the water?
Nathalie, I plan on posting photos of the boat trip from Menton to Cap Ferrat and Villefranche. Soon.
ReplyDeleteI know this boat, but I have seen her only inside the harbour. She's big indeed...
ReplyDeleteJilly, that's not big----that's HUGE. LOL MB
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful it would be to travel on that.
ReplyDeleteJilly, that's not BIG, it's SUPER BIG! Great BIG photo of the cruise ship! It must have been fun to photograph!

So incredibly big! ;-)
ReplyDeleteand it seems cruise ships are getting bigger every year.
ReplyDeleteBetter be onthe back side of this monster than on his front!!! unless you a re ready to jump in that beautiful blue Mediterranean sea!!
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is fabulous. Looks like you are in the ocean.

I seldom think of cruise ships when I think of watercrafts, but I find them very impressive and BIG!! Never felt like I wanted to go on a cruise until recently when so many friends have recommended them. I find them fascinating; you certainly showed their BIGNESS!!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice for the BIG theme day. I prefer small cruise ships, but Denton is right. They keep getting bigger. I was even on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship that had been expanded by cutting it in two and inserting a section in the middle to add capacity for another 800 or so guests. An amazing feat of marine engineering and construction done in Germany.
ReplyDeleteExcellent for BIG theme, it looks sumptuous, huge and almost indestructible, perfect for a short trip. Greetings from MC.
ReplyDeleteI don't think too many things are bigger than a cruise ship. Nice one for theme day.
