The Port of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat - the Dog

Look around any harbour and you'll find dogs on boats.

"Yesterday I was a dog. Today I'm a dog. Tomorrow I'll probably still be a dog. Sigh! There's so little hope for advancement."

~ Charles M. Schulz

  3. Oh, to be a dog like Snoopy.......

Jilly, I'm surprised you didn't give us the dog's name as you usually do! :)

  4. Maria, I asked him three times what his name was and do you know, he didn't want to answer, so in the end I left it...I told him my friend Maria would want to know!

  5. what's that strange cord around his middle for? I bet he has quite a posh name like Marmaduke Fitzwalter, but only answers to Fitz!

  6. Yes, what is that cord? It has little boats and anchors. And the end hanging down has been chewed... was it at one time a leash or tie to the boat??

  7. I think he's wearing a harness - the blue of his collar and around his tummy form the harness. The small piece of rope hanging down must at one time have been used to attach him to somewhere on the boat. Think he's either broken it recently - or the owners have simply not bothered to remove the dangly piece from where it attaches to the harness. He appeared to be moving freely around the boat.
