A trompe l'oeil artist has taken a break from his creation on the side wall of a building opposite the Palace. Looks like it's going to be really good, doesn't it?The narrow street is called rue du Comte Felix Gastald. He was a descendant of one of the oldest families installed in Monaco before the XIIIth century. Comte Felix built the Chapel Saint-Laurent which was replaced in 1883 by the Eglise Saint-Charles.

Yes, I think this artwork will be good. I am, however, puzzled at the cracks on the adjacent building. It seems odd in classy Monte Carlo.....
We're in the old part of Monaco - Monaco-Ville which is le rocher. I imagine all these facades are being repaired.

I am fascinated by trompe l'oeil ! I am sure it is difficult if done really well. Let us see the finished piece!
