This sculpture/fountain was created by Guy Lartigue in 1970 in hommage to Princess Grace of Monaco. Made of copper, brass and bronze, it stands on the eastern end of the
Promenade de Larvotto, just above the beach.
I featured it once before, around two and a half years ago, but I've a better camera now so thought I'd snap it again for you.
Good morning,
ReplyDeleteit looks great...and such a blue sky...a dream...

Great views of this fountain sculpture or sculpture fountain, it almost look like a Calla lily (Alcatraz in Mexico).
ReplyDeleteNice and interesting fountain. I can feel the refreshment through it.
ReplyDeleteAs I recall, there is also a rose garden in Fontveille that is a memorial to Princess Grace, and her tomb is in the Cathedral. Her family is a tribute to her as well. She is certainly remembered fondly.
ReplyDeleteLovely and falling water is so very hard to capture!

Passando casualmente, avistei o teu espaço, invadi, gostei e não resisti em dizer que ele é muito bonito e muito bem ilustrado com belas fotos. Parabens! Depois passarei com mais tempo para poder apreciá-lo melhos.
