The Winter Sporting is a building with an entrance on Avenue Princess Alice, opposite the Hotel Hermitage. The other entrance is on the Casino Gardens and these photos show the passageway from one to the other. The Sporting d'Hiver is an Art Deco building that houses Monaco's cinema, several art galleries, a coffee shop and so on. Recently there was talk of it being demolished but there was such a hue and cry that happily we've heard no more about it.In the main photo we are looking towards the gardens and in the smaller photo, in the opposite direction, with the cinema - out of shot - to the left.

Much much too lovely to demolish. I'm glad it's been spared. Odd name for this building though.

Glad that those demolishing plans were abandoned. Sounds like a great place to spend a few hours.
An excellent choice - wonderful reflections and the two figures in the background add a great focal point.

In the top photo, the store on the left appears to have paper over the windows. Could such a prime location be vacant?
Maybe you could persuade the shopping mall owners to let you have the space to open a dog sitting and grooming service. You should offer a percentage lease where you do not have to pay any rent except a share of the profits. And you could tell them that you will increase the foot traffic to their shopping center because so many people will want to come look at those Riviera dogs through the window.
It would be a shame to lose this building.
What a beautiful passageway. I can't imagine even one thought of destroying it.
