Monaco Dog Show - Shelties with Friend
It's not easy photographing dogs - or anything else - in the circus tent in Fontvieille. It's dark with the odd bright light. A friend suggested I try the camera at a much higher ISO. This shot of two Shelties and a Pyrenean Mountain Dog was taken at 2000 ISO and personally I like the graininess and the feel of it. Do you?

I love the graininess - it's almost like a canvas, slightly 3-D. I feel like I can just reach into the photo and pet these beautiful dogs!
I do like it. Great shot!
Yessss!
This is so exciting Jilly, it really shows how worthwhile it is to explore with our cameras. It's a beautiful shot!
I agree that you did a great job photographing these wonderful canines.
I think it works very well. I used to play with the ISO using film. Haven't tried it with digital, yet.
I definitely like it. Will have to try that myself one of these days.
I too like the graininess and how the photo shows the way dogs naturally interact with each other. It's a very REAL photograph. I'm also partial to shelties as I had one as a child. They are such sweet, wonderful dogs.
As you know, I love dogs, so I like almost any photo of them. I do think that the grain is very interesting and adds a bit to it.
It looks a bit like a painting.
Very nice!
