She intrigues me - I love this painting - and so wish I knew the name of the artist. I thought I was being clever by photographing the signature but it's impossible to read. If anyone knows, tell me and I'll credit the gallery and of course the talented artist.
P.S: Thanks so much to Robyn Gordon of
ArtPropelled who told me that the artist is Lisa G and the painting is called The Black Ribbon. You can visit
Lisa G's blog to see more of her beautiful work, by clicking on the link. Thanks Robyn! Lisa G is represented in France by
Galerie d'Art le Cameleon in Antibes.
Unique ART!
ReplyDeleteI like it too:)
She's beautiful, in her Flanders skin and goofy hat. Unfortunately I can't help you with the artist.
ReplyDeleteCiao
crazy but I like it
ReplyDeleteI would hang this on a wall in my home. (I like it very much) My paintings are "plain jane" compared to this. I need to get a little "crazy"? :-)
ReplyDeleteI do believe that she needs a fresh(er) fish in her hat to cheer her up, though.
Ken B.
That would be quite a hat to wear around town! Better use a plastic fish instead of a read one! Ha!
ReplyDeleteInteresting painting. I sort of like it!
ReplyDeleteThis painting draws me in too! I love the face. As a practical matter, a fish in your hat might not make you very popular in a crowd. However, in a painting it is intriguing.
ReplyDeleteThis painting commands attention. And comment. To me, the elongated face and expression evokes Modigliani, but the fish and hat makes it whimsical.
ReplyDeleteher swan-like neck and elongated face serves as a counterbalance to the horizongal lines of the hat. It is indeed an unusual subject.
ReplyDeleteOh, une alsacienne! She's a beauty!
ReplyDeleteShe reminds me of Modigliani and I would love to know the artist too!
ReplyDeleteYou can smell her coming from miles away.
ReplyDeleteThe painting is called the Black Ribbon by Lisa G. I also love it!
ReplyDeleteHere is her blog>>>

Thanks so much ArtPropelled, I'll change the copy. I hate not being able to credit an artist, especially one as talented as this.
