As an American, I have no hesitation in commenting that on the Riviera, an American bar would be a better place to spend some time than an American restaurant.
We have just returned from our two weeks in Italy, and I trust you had as glorious weather on the Riviera as we did in Bellagio on the shores of Lake Como and in Milan.
