Later today, the Tour de France will be over for another year as they cycle down the
Champs Elysées in Paris. The winner - Alberto Contador. Last year in Monaco we saw his rivalry with Lance Armstrong - this year, with the courageous Andy Schleck.
These photos were taken one year ago in Monaco. Well done Alberto - another year, Andy...!
Yeah! Viva el Contador!
ReplyDeleteThe Tour de France is a remarkable event. It can be scary, with the crowds, narrow streets, chase vehicles, cameras following the racers, etc. It is a wonder there are not even more crashes.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! These people work so hard, to get on this level.I think they can be an example for a lot of people. Although I admire them, I think it is a shame that there is no Tour de France for women.
ReplyDeleteThese pics bring back happy memories for me as this time last year I watched the riders on the "Champs Elysee" and wow!! what a crowd of people - I thought I was going to suffocate trying to get to my metro at Concorde amid swarms of people - but it was well worth it.
ReplyDeleteViva La Tour !!

Congratulations to Contador on a race well-run! Last year his battle with Armstrong was fun to watch, this year Andy Schleck gave him a run for his money but couldn't be beat. I won't be too impressed though until he wins a couple more in row to start creepin up on Armstrong's record.
ReplyDeleteWEll he's a looker for sure! :)
