Le Grand Tour

Monaco's latest tour bus - le grand tour! There are twelve stops taking in the whole of Monaco. You can get on or off as often as you like. A day ticket costs 17 euros for adults and 7 euros for a child. Included in the 12 stops is the Bateau Bus stop and the complete tour lasts approximately one hour.

As you can see in the smaller photo, there is a running commentary in your own language via individual disposable head sets.

It's Theme Day in the City Daily Photo community and today's theme is BRIGHT COLOURS. Click on the link to see colour from around the world.

  1. I would think that you can see all of Monaco walking around, but I guess the bus makes it easier for people who are not up to walking, especially going up the rock from the port to the Palace area.

  3. There's always something new!
I think I would prefer this one to the little train where you have to stay in. Hop on, hop off - good idea!

  4. This is a great idea! In New York they also have a Hop On Hop Off. This concept is fulfilling tourist needs. Won't start a discussion about the driver.

  6. Gail and I have been on the one in Sydney and it's great if you want to spend some time at a particular place. If we ever do make it to MC, we will certainly go on it. It's also good that it's open top, so you can get an unrestricted view.
