Monaco Street - Chopping to the Music, tra la
Whenever a new ingredient is added to the pan of snails the band plays and the music gets faster and louder by way of encouragement - see last photo. Above, the tomatoes are being chopped as quickly as possible in an effort to keep up with the music - that's why bits are falling off the board.
Meanwhile - in the smaller photo - life goes on in Monaco's market as a trolley packed up with shoe boxes is wheeled past the action.

This is quite a performance, appealing to many senses!
What exuberance they are displaying, it must be quite lovely to be part of all this joy.

Oh I love this. I would have enjoyed photographing the band as well as the cooking experience. Smells good! :)

PS I'm dying to pick through those shoe boxes. I was only in Cincinnati 3 days and came home with 2 pair!!
You bring Monaco alive for us!!! I want those sunglasses from 8/14!!!
Great street entertainment. I hope the chef had a good eye, good rhythm, and all his fingers when he finished:)
this is new, I also try to cook following the pace of the music, who knows what will come of it
So much for the Mediterranean slow food movement.
What a fabulous scene - food and music and action. I would love to have a peek into some of those shoe-boxes oh-la-la!!
