I wouldn't normally post a photo of a rubbish bin, but these have to be the neatest, cleanest re-cycling bins I've ever seen. In France, they are enormous and usually overflowing and often dirty.We're in Fontvieille, almost opposite the Columbus Hotel and with the Princess Grace Rose Garden behind that tall hedge you see on the left of the small photo.

I have to agree. They are very attractive.
Very pretty "rubbish" bins. Are the different colors a code for the purpose? e.g. Blue for aluminum, yellow for paper?
There are so many in one spot! That must be near the messy people's hangout! :-) ha ha ha

I bet even the rubbish is cleaned before it goes in the bin.
So neat and tidy that I dare say they look "hardly used"
Perhaps Albert thinks they boost his green credentials, but I also dare say we are all beginning to suffer from "eco-fatigue"
We have an economy based on excessive consumption, no problem with that. There is no need to put a wind turbine on top of the Casino to assuage any lingering pangs of guilt.
They are unbelievably clean. I've never been to Monaco but somehow am not at all surprised. I'm looking forward to seeing these kind of quirks when we get there next year - things that are commonplace everywhere but with Monaco's own little twist!
Seems like a good idea to have most of the bin underground.
