A handsome photo! I should photo the doorman here at Ordway Theatre in St. Paul with his marvelous top hat. I often wonder how doormen feel about their jobs. Can't say that I've ever seen a doorwoman. Or is it doorperson??
I sometimes wonder what it would feel like to be a doorman in one of theses uniforms, whether at the Monte Carlo casino, a posh apartment building in Manhattan or the Hotel Crillon in Paris. It seems to embody both dignity and service.

I wonder how many times he has heard someone arrive at the casino and say to him, "The name is Bond. . . . . James Bond" or whatever their name is.
I bet he has a snappy answer for them.
Yes I'm sure many stories to tell. The uniform is very classy.

I see in his eyes that he need to know many stories that may not be able to tell, because his morals will not let him.
Think of the "Who's who" list he could write of the people who have passed through his doors!
