Well, you could be right although I'd think the wood and the lettering maybe date further back. I imagined this to be the place where men would stand waiting to garage the cars, even carriages. Rather like the one outside the Hotel de Paris in Monaco.

ReplyDeleteI would think that the concierge office was put in when the building was converted to apartments, not when it was built as a hotel.

Anyway I don't know - you could well be right.
I have seen many a concierge desk, but never a concierge office.
