There's a bike just like this one in my neighbourhood. I also wonder about the balancing.
You see them quite a lot in Holland, even people go to work by them.But well, we are a country of bike riders..;-)
They are quite common in the Netherlands in all kind of different shapes, sometimes they look like a torpedo. They are known as recumbent bicycles.

Isn't this the weirdest bike! The photos aren't anything to write home about but I wanted to show you the bike regardless. I can't imagine balancing on a bike in this position - can you?
