I agree with the title of this piece of art. When Costa RIcan President Oscar Arias accepted the Nobel Peace Prize in the 1980's, he commented that in Costa RIca there is not one tank, not one artillery piece, and not one military helicopter. He added that people do not need or want an army if they are literate, have a good job, and a decent standard of living. Costa RIca has avoided conflicts and maintained a stable democracy since it abolished its military in 1949.
The gold gun might appeal to a lot of gun enthusiasts who seem to dominate the political culture in the USA these days.
