'De l'Inutile a l'essentiel.'
Last night there was a large crowd for the vernissage in Cap d'Ail of Maxime Peregrini's and Barbara Lecomte's beautiful book 'De l'Inutile a l'essentiel.'
Each page of the book and each display in this exhibition features one of Maxime's photos from New York City and one of Barbara's from India. Each duo of photos displaying so beautifully the differences and the similarities in each culture.
Bravo to Maxime and Barbara - beautiful work!
The exhibition continues until the 22nd July at the Chateau des Terrasses at Cap d'Ail, just along the coast from Monaco.

Goodbye Winter Sporting ...
Come to Monte Carlo and take the tourist train ... and view the destruction! This is the back of what was the beautiful art deco Winter Sporting. Almost gone now ...

Music and Photography
Today is the last day of an exhibition of beautiful black and white photography at Theoule sur Mer, which is just along the coast from Monaco - a charming seaside town, with gorgeous sandy beaches and an easy way of life, quite different to Monte Carlo. Yesterday, one of the visitors, treated everyone to a virtuoso performance of piano. In fact, she is a flautist with the Cannes orchestra.
The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Espace Culturel, Theoule-Sur-Mer.

The bang of the volleyball
Volleyball on Larvotto Beach. That ball makes a helluva bang when it hits the wire netting - especially if you are standing right there and taking a photo!

Larvotto
Larvotto Beach is not just for the rich and famous to sunbathe. (Well, actually it's more likely to be the locals as the tourists don't always find Larvotto.) Here you can play volley-ball, there's a gym, you can waterski. The kids in the centre of the photo are taking off on surfboards. Not sure what they are doing though as there are no waves!

Cannes Film Festival 2015 - Silver
The stars arrive at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes - and amongst them this car that had just competed in the Mille Miglia 2015. Silver hair, silver car!
This is Yves RĂ©nier, who played Commissaire Moulin. Thanks to Youcef Bouchaaia for this information.

Cannes Film Festival 2015
At the Cannes Film Festival, crowds gather at the entrance to every hotel hoping for a glimpse of someone famous in the film industry. Is she or isn't she? Probably not but she enjoys playing the part ...
Cannes Film Festival
This is the busiest time of year in this part of the world. In Monaco, we have the Grand Prix and in Cannes (just along the coast) the Cannes film festival.
This is the famous red carpet at the Palais de Festival - as you see Ingrid Bergman is the icon on this year's poster. (taken in the afternoon, before the stars arrived!)
It was the best fun going to Cannes yesterday with my friend, Sylvie. In Cannes, everyone has a camera and everyone wants to be photographed!

Nicky and Mojo
This is my lovely friend Nicky Fraser with her French bulldog Mojo. He's doing his best to do what he wants to do and not what Nicky wants him to do!
Nicky, who lives in Monaco, is a very talented lady. She's an Aromatherapist, a Feng Shui consultant and a Chinese Astrologer. You can find Nicky on her FACEBOOK page.
